Currently, npmjs.com only supports registration and login via email and password.
It would be great to support additional authentication options such as GitHub and Google. These are common across developer platforms and can improve convenience and account security, especially for users who already rely on GitHub for their workflows.
I’m curious whether this is something that has been considered before, or if there are technical or policy reasons for sticking with email/password only.
