GitHub Education application blocked: “We require applicants to use a school-issued email address” despite verified school email

Hi everyone,

I’m trying to apply for GitHub Education (Student) but the application fails with the error: “There was an error creating the discount request… We require applicants to use a school-issued email address to apply.”

My school-issued email is already added to my GitHub account, verified, and set as the primary email. The application UI also shows my academic domain is associated with my university. I have also provided valid proof of enrollment (dated student ID), but the submission still blocks me with the same “must use a school-issued email” message.
