I build openMemo.

It is a local app for the things you save and never find again. A link, a video, a song, a screenshot, a thought you typed at 2am. openMemo pulls in the real thing rather than a dead URL, transcribes what has speech in it, and lets you ask for it later in your own words. Everything stays on your machine. No account, no subscription, no telemetry, nothing leaving your disk.

I built it because my own saved links were a graveyard.

Hundreds of them, all still there, none of them findable. It turned out that fixing that properly meant writing an app, and then not stopping.

It is free and MIT licensed, and it stays that way. Sponsoring does not unlock anything, because there is nothing to unlock. What it buys is the unglamorous half: the hours, the packaging, the parts of shipping a desktop app that nobody sees and everybody needs.

If openMemo earns a place on your machine, this is where you can keep it alive. If it does not, use it anyway. That is what it is for.
