1"They thought Jesus was claiming to be equal to God (he wasn't - he could do nothing by himself)" - then why didn't Jesus ever correct them for getting it wrong?user38524– user385242021-05-12 18:22:39 +00:00Commented May 12, 2021 at 18:22

1@HoldToTheRod Great question! I've bookmarked it. From the 3 instances you mention there, as well as Nathanael's at John 1:49, it seems at least to many people these concepts were closely tied together. The obvious source would be Psalm 2.Only True God– Only True God2021-05-12 22:15:44 +00:00Commented May 12, 2021 at 22:15

How to Tag
A tag is a keyword or label that categorizes your question with other, similar questions. Choose one or more (up to 5) tags that will help answerers to find and interpret your question.
- complete the sentence: my question is about...
- use tags that describe things or concepts that are essential, not incidental to your question
- favor using existing popular tags
- read the descriptions that appear below the tag
If your question is primarily about a topic for which you can't find a tag:
- combine multiple words into single-words with hyphens (e.g. word-study), up to a maximum of 35 characters
- creating new tags is a privilege; if you can't yet create a tag you need, then post this question without it, then ask the community to create it for you
