An interesting question, but have you considered that Christ's gift could be the gift of the Holy Spirit indwelling each member of his spiritual 'body' (i.e. each Christian)? Not until that gift of the Holy Spirit has been bestowed at the outset would a Christian then be able to learn from the indwelling Holy Spirit how to grow in grace, how to benefit the 'body', the Church. Just a thought!Anne– Anne2021-11-20 17:51:31 +00:00Commented Nov 20, 2021 at 17:51

Indeed, but there's only one Holy Spirit. I'd commented before Perry Webb's answer was posted. He and I seem to be on the same wave-length! I will await further answers with great interest and hope to learn much.Anne– Anne2021-11-20 18:12:32 +00:00Commented Nov 20, 2021 at 18:12

How to Tag
A tag is a keyword or label that categorizes your question with other, similar questions. Choose one or more (up to 5) tags that will help answerers to find and interpret your question.
- complete the sentence: my question is about...
- use tags that describe things or concepts that are essential, not incidental to your question
- favor using existing popular tags
- read the descriptions that appear below the tag
If your question is primarily about a topic for which you can't find a tag:
- combine multiple words into single-words with hyphens (e.g. word-study), up to a maximum of 35 characters
- creating new tags is a privilege; if you can't yet create a tag you need, then post this question without it, then ask the community to create it for you
