Sorghum is a hardy, high-yielding cereal crop that can be grown for grain, animal feed, and value-added products like syrup. Sorghum breeding programs are needed to optimize this crop for organic production. In this study, researchers at Clemson University evaluated the performance of 185 hybrid and inbred (pure line) sorghum varieties in a certified organic production system.
