This week, we had the privilege of attending the Airbus Supplier Conference and personally meeting Robin Hayes, Chairman and CEO of Airbus in North America, along with Nicolas Lemoine, Vice President of Procurement and Head of the Regional Sourcing Office North America. We also had valuable interactions with Airbus leadership, procurement, and supply-chain teams. What impressed us most was the consistent message around quality. At Airbus, quality is not simply a specification or requirement — it is a culture, a discipline and a responsibility shared across the entire supply chain. As Robin Hayes emphasized during the conference, suppliers are an important part of maintaining the standards of quality, safety and continuous improvement expected in aerospace. For Aimtron, being a supplier supporting the Airbus A350F program carries a special responsibility. It is not about simply supplying a product; it is about earning trust through quality, consistency, traceability, reliability and execution — every single time. We sincerely appreciate Robin Hayes, Nicolas Lemoine, and the Airbus team for their time, encouragement and support. Nicolas, in particular, was very supportive of the Aimtron team and our continued journey. As we move forward, we also see an opportunity to carry this same aerospace-quality mindset into Aimtron, including our mechanical and wire-harness capabilities. Our goal is not simply to add capabilities, but to build them around the same foundation of quality and manufacturing excellence. Growth will follow quality. Quality must always come first. We came away from the conference inspired, energized and with an even stronger commitment to continuous improvement. A different connector. An alternate component. A shifted test point. Before qualification, each may be a manageable engineering change. After qualification, the same change can affect validation evidence, configuration records, test coverage, traceability and delivery schedules. That is why manufacturability needs to be addressed before a UAV or aerospace design is locked. A useful DFM review should pressure-test: • Component lifecycle and approved alternatives • Assembly tolerances across repeated builds • Inspection and test coverage • Thermal and mechanical constraints • Traceability and configuration control • Readiness from prototype through NPI to production At Aimtron, integrated design, manufacturing and testing capabilities under an AS9100D-certified quality system help bring manufacturing considerations into the programme early. If a UAV or aerospace programme is approaching design freeze, that is the time to pressure-test manufacturability. Aimtron Electronics Limited and Parul University, Vadodara have signed an MoU to strengthen industry-academia collaboration and create new opportunities for students, academia and industry. As India’s electronics and semiconductor ecosystem continues to grow, building an industry-ready talent pool and strengthening the connection between academic learning and real-world engineering requirements will become increasingly important. I am pleased to see this partnership bring together Aimtron’s industry experience and Parul University’s academic ecosystem, with a focus on ASIC/OSAT, skill development, faculty training, internships, incubation, industry exposure and practical learning. The collaboration will also explore opportunities for facility-based training, product development, RF lab engagement, knowledge exchange, and academic and technical consultation—giving students and faculty greater exposure to the technologies, processes and challenges shaping the electronics and semiconductor industry. As part of this collaboration, Parul University plans to establish an Aimtron Centre of Excellence and an Embedded Systems Lab in the near term, with a semiconductor lab planned for a future phase. These facilities will support hands-on learning, faculty development, research, prototyping, student projects and incubation. For students, this creates opportunities to gain practical experience and develop a stronger understanding of industry expectations. For industry, it provides a platform to engage with emerging talent, academic expertise and new ideas. At Aimtron, we believe the next phase of India’s electronics growth will require stronger industry-academia partnerships, deeper technical capabilities and an industry-ready talent pool.
