About us
Amazon is guided by four principles: customer obsession rather than competitor focus, passion for invention, commitment to operational excellence, and long-term thinking. We are driven by the excitement of building technologies, inventing products, and providing services that change lives. We embrace new ways of doing things, make decisions quickly, and are not afraid to fail. We have the scope and capabilities of a large company, and the spirit and heart of a small one. Together, Amazonians research and develop new technologies from Amazon Web Services to Alexa on behalf of our customers: shoppers, sellers, content creators, and developers around the world. Our mission is to be Earth's most customer-centric company. Our actions, goals, projects, programs, and inventions begin and end with the customer top of mind. You'll also hear us say that at Amazon, it's always "Day 1." What do we mean? That our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon's very first day - to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and focus on delighting our customers.

Anthropic's Claude Opus 4.8 is now available on Amazon Bedrock. This model works independently for longer. It holds context across multi-stage projects, self-corrects, and finds paths around obstacles instead of stalling out. For coding, it handles real-world work like refactors, debugging, and migrations across large codebases without constant hand-holding. That matters because the next wave of AI value comes from agents that can actually sustain complex work in production. Opus 4.8 is a real step forward there. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/emUikVtS

🎧 This might be the most satisfying sound in logistics. At our LEJ5 fulfillment center in Gera, Germany, machine learning algorithms are doing something remarkable — analyzing millions of products to determine the ideal packaging for every single order. From reduced packaging that minimizes waste to original product packaging that is certified for damage-free delivery, Amazon's on it. Here are a few ways Amazon is innovating to reduce waste. 👇

Every job is a two-person job when your bestie's involved. 🌱 This Global Month of Volunteering, this dynamic Amazonian duo is sticking together (literally) — to clean up parks, tackle invasive blackberry bushes, build care packages, plant seed balls, and more. It's all part of how Amazon team members volunteer year-round to strengthen local communities — from restoring ecosystems to supporting food banks and delivering relief after disasters. In 2025, team members participated in more than 500,000 volunteer activities across 55 countries.

Big update today: We’re bringing together Amazon’s AI shopping assistant, Rufus, and Alexa+ to create one super powerful shopping assistant. It's called Alexa for Shopping, and it can help you get detailed information on products as you shop, plus it has context from Alexa so it has a better idea of what you want. We’re also rolling out the full Amazon shopping experience on Echo Shows so it will be a lot easier to shop on those devices. There’s really nothing else that helps you shop end to end like this. It’s rolling out in the U.S. this week, and it’s free for all Amazon customers, even if you don’t have Prime. Check it out: https://lnkd.in/gk6HFSfg

The best ideas often sound simple. Get customers what they need in 30 minutes or less. But simple doesn't mean easy. Amazon Now delivers thousands of items — fresh groceries, everyday household essentials, locally relevant items— to customers' doors in about 30 minutes. Behind that speed is an enormous amount of work: a network of smaller fulfillment locations strategically placed close to where customers live and work, routes designed to keep delivery partners safer and closer to their stops, and thousands of team members picking, packing, and delivering around the clock. It took reimagined logistics, new infrastructure, and a lot of people who believe that when a customer needs something, 30 minutes should be fast enough. Amazon Now is live today in dozens of U.S. cities, including Atlanta, Dallas-Fort Worth, Philadelphia, and Seattle — with plans to expand to tens of millions of customers this year.

At this year's Amazon Upfront in New York City, we showcased what's new with Amazon Ads across Prime Video, Prime Sports, Amazon MGM Studios, Twitch, Wondery, and Amazon Music. That reaction? That was when we dropped the news that a ‘Fourth Wing’ series is coming to Prime Video. 🙌 Prime Video & Amazon MGM Studios also announced the premiere date for ‘The Rings of Power’ Season 3, a renewal for ‘Jury Duty,’ and much more. There's something for everyone on the way. 🎬🏈🎙🎵
