How it works

In C consists of 53 short melodic fragments. Each participant moves through them at their own pace. Every performance is unique.

Play two or three In C performances at once, listen to them drift in and out of agreement — or adjust a channel's rate until the pulses match.

D-viation marks performances that stray from a straight reading of the score: a new arrangement, tuning, or approach that may be harder to recognize as In C.

Play Along opens a console with all 53 fragments. Match the pulse and join in. The music keeps playing.
