Not all stones respond to the laser the same way. Marble is the most familiar material, but granite, slate, quartzite, travertine, basalt and ceramic each have their own logic: different hardness, different thermal behaviour, different parameter settings to get a clean and repeatable result. We wrote a complete guide on CO2 laser processing across natural stones and ceramic, including a section on unfired ceramic that opens up some interesting possibilities for production workflows. Worth a read if you work with natural surfaces.

Wood is back at the centre of contemporary design, and laser amplifies its possibilities without altering its essence. Solid wood, plywood, veneer, MDF: every species responds to the laser differently, producing results that traditional mechanical processing cannot replicate. Applications for interior design and furniture: ✔️ Decorative engravings and bas-reliefs on panels and doors ✔️ Surface textures for wall coverings and kitchens ✔️ Geometric and organic patterns on large panels ✔️ Customisation of short runs and one-off pieces One digital file, consistent results across the entire production run. Laser microperforation for acoustics is an application that leaves no room for approximation. Diameter, pitch and uniformity of the holes directly determine the panel's absorption performance. OT-LAS PX is the system designed specifically for this application. Key specs from the datasheet: ✔️Galvanometric scanning head, optical aperture 35 mm ✔️Fixed working area: 350×350 mm, nominal spot 0.3 mm ✔️Total area in fly marking: 1400×3500 mm ✔️Power up to 850 W ✔️Continuous Y-axis movement for serial production The result: precise, repeatable holes distributed uniformly across the entire panel surface onwood, plastic and textiles. Function and design in a single process. https://lnkd.in/dyAtgeUj

The demand for decorative laser engraving and marking on full slabs is growing in architecture and luxury retail. The FX XL is the OT-LAS system built specifically for this: max slabs dimension up to 2000×3500 mm, power up to 1500 W, high-definition scanning head. A motorised roller system supports loading and unloading even the heaviest slabs. Results on marble, granite, onyx, slate and natural stone: - Millimetre precision on large surfaces - Custom patterns and complex decorations - No mechanical contact, no cracking risk - Repeatable results for production runs Read our full guide on large-format laser processing. https://lnkd.in/dnin_nfV
