It is easy to get caught up in the day-to-day moves in currency markets. Sometimes it pays to step back. This week on #STTStreetSignals, Chris Pizzotti, Global Head of FX Sales and Trading at #StateStreetMarkets, takes a broader look at the trends influencing currencies in 2026 and what investors should be watching in the months ahead. The conversation also covers changing client expectations and what firms increasingly want from their FX providers. Listen to the full discussion: https://lnkd.in/e-YFKHwC

Artificial intelligence has been one of the defining themes at #Sibos2026, with industry leaders exploring both its potential to transform financial services and the governance frameworks needed to support responsible adoption. I enjoyed speaking with Cameron Emanuel-Burns of FinTech Futures on the ground about the opportunities and challenges ahead, including how were approaching this technology at State Street. One of the clearest themes at Sibos this week is how much the conversation has shifted in just a year. Twelve months ago, discussions around AI and tokenization were largely focused on proofs of concept and pilot programs. Today, the focus is on execution: how to deploy these technologies at scale and with the right governance. The tech itself is no longer the hard part. Firms are increasingly focused on controls, interoperability and ensuring systems can work together effectively. Just as important is rethinking operating models to support adoption in a secure, scalable and sustainable way. Looking forward to hearing State Street's Manoj Bohra speak at 4:15pm today on Conf Stage 3 on "Agentic Capital Markets: When AI becomes the Counterparty" #StateStreetAtSibos #Sibos2026

It is great to be here at #Sibos2026 and to be part of the conversation on the forces shaping the next era of global financial markets. As real-world applications of agentic AI and tokenization continue to gain momentum, State Street is helping the industry rethink long-established market structures, operating models and assumptions. Our discussions with clients are focused not only on adapting to changing market dynamics, but as importantly understanding what resilience looks like in an increasingly digital financial ecosystem.

State Street chief Ronald O'Hanley says AI is collapsing steps, not jobs. Speaking at Sibos in Miami, State Street's chairman and CEO says AI is lifting developer productivity by double digits and shrinking cyber remediation from weeks to hours, but warns of AI’s ‘quantum moment’. https://lnkd.in/eKdEieW4

One of the biggest differences at this year's #Sibos is that the conversation has shifted from theory to execution. In previous years, discussions around digital assets focused on their potential. This year, the focus has been on practical applications, real use cases and where there is a clear commercial rationale. Another theme that came through consistently was interoperability. As digital asset markets continue to develop, firms are increasingly focused on how different platforms, networks and infrastructures can work together. That’s why State Street built our Digital Asset Platform into our core servicing and made it agnostic to blockchain and the cash payment leg, so clients don’t have to manage fragmentation themselves. #StateStreetAtSibos #Sibos2026

Future-proofing a financial institution is not about building a monolithic architecture. It comes down to three things: trusted data, an AI operating model, and an AI-ready workforce. At State Street, we are investing in all three. That means building the right data foundation, developing the operating model to scale AI responsibly, and equipping our people with the skills needed to succeed in a changing environment. That thinking is reflected in the launch of State Street One, our enterprise AI platform, operating model and set of practices designed to support the next phase of AI adoption across the organization. #StateStreetAtSibos #Sibos2026

It was great to be at #Sibos2026 this week and hear a wide range of perspectives on the future of banking. One of the key themes throughout the week has been the focus on resiliency, and particularly the importance of that, given the threats that face us today and put our ecosystem at risk. We're in a unique situation where we're seeing the convergence of frontier AI enabled cyber threats with an increasing geopolitical threat, at the same time as we're seeing the increasing complexity of our third-party supply chains. It's critical that we all continue to work together to protect the ecosystem from these threats and ensure through our resiliency programs that we have the ability to deflect stress so that we can continue to provide the services to our customers and our clients and meet our obligations in the broader financial ecosystem. I enjoyed the opportunity to share my observations on how the industry is evolving, the opportunities ahead and the role innovation will play in shaping the next phase of financial services. Thank you to everyone who joined the discussion and contributed to the conversation throughout the week. #Resilience #Resiliency #StateStreetAtSibos State Street Swift
