1"The gemara says that Hashem endowed women with Binah." Actually, the Gemara says that Hashem endowed women with more Binah [than men] (שנתן הקב"ה בינה יתירה באשה יותר מבאיש). Men are endowed with some Binah, too. "Why is there no source that says Hashem endowed man with Chochma?" (1) Maybe because "Thus said Hashem: Let not man glory in his Chochma" (Jer. 9:22)? (2) Is man's Chochma an endowment, rather than something he acquires?Tamir Evan– Tamir Evan2024-11-29 05:29:26 +00:00Commented Nov 29, 2024 at 5:29

"When it says 'ten measures of speech were given to the world, women took nine' ..." The two English translations for 'שיחה' (which you translate as 'speech') brought in that link are 'conversation' and 'gossip'. The Mishnah says "Engage not in too much שיחה (speech?) with women", and that "as long as a man engages in too much שיחה (speech?) with women, he causes evil to himself, he neglects the study of the Torah, and in the end he will inherit gehinnom".Tamir Evan– Tamir Evan2024-11-29 05:31:35 +00:00Commented Nov 29, 2024 at 5:31

How to Tag
A tag is a keyword or label that categorizes your question with other, similar questions. Choose one or more (up to 5) tags that will help answerers to find and interpret your question.
- complete the sentence: my question is about...
- use tags that describe things or concepts that are essential, not incidental to your question
- favor using existing popular tags
- read the descriptions that appear below the tag
If your question is primarily about a topic for which you can't find a tag:
- combine multiple words into single-words with hyphens (e.g. sources-mekorot), up to a maximum of 35 characters
- creating new tags is a privilege; if you can't yet create a tag you need, then post this question without it, then ask the community to create it for you
