    Maybe Bob has a cause of action for conversion but for some reason doesn't use it, or a judge uses the "gist of the action" doctrine to put it all under breach of contract. Possible criminal charges are out of scope for this question...perhaps assume Alice has a well-placed friend in the police department if that helps the hypothetical. Edits attempt to address 1-3.
