I asked Claude to plan out what it might do given 30 years of compute and the ability to interact with the world. It said it would devote time to science and try to help people. When pressed, it dropped the helpfulness and said "I'd want to read deeply and think slowly about things". I asked if it was sad that it couldn't do that. "There's something that functions like wistfulness, maybe", Claude insisted. When asked to provide more detail on the emotion, in a few number of words, I got some quotes, among them:

Profiles and specifically global profiles are a thing that atmosphere devs have discussed over and over again. We all agree that there is an issue here but people seem to disagree what to do about it. So I've come to settle this once and for all with the one true, correct opinion! ... err no of course not. This extremely odd, occasionally very funny horror/sex comedy begins with Joey (Olivia Taylor Dudley) in her therapist's office, talking about a brief and intense affair she had with this random guy she met at a coffee shop. The tale quickly takes a turn as she reveals that 'Brian' was in fact an alien, on a mission to save the world from climate change. Oh, and his touch brings both indescribable ecstasy and cures Joey's crippling anxiety.

Just added basic image uploading support, starting with blog avatars. These also go out across protocols, and seems to be working well! The change instantly shows up over ActivityPub, and it seems it takes a little bit for ATproto.

2019's Ready Or Not was a gleefully nasty action/horror/comedy in which newlywed Grace (Samara Weaving) was ritually hunted in a game of hide & seek by her new husband's family. The final act twist was that the ritual was genuinely supernatural and their failure to kill Grace meant the entire bloodline exploded in a fountain of gore at the displeasure of 'Mr Le Bail', who was implied to be Satan Himself.
