I can't say anything about Latin but iI can definitely tell you something about Sanskrit. Sanskrit is a less spoken language not a dead language. There are 7 villages in INDIAIndia where all the people including small children, women,elder people, literate and illiterate speak fluently in Sanskrit.
1.) Mattur (Karnataka) 2.) Jhiri (MP) 3.) Sasana (Orrisa) 4.) Baghuwar(MP) 5.) Ganoda (Rajasthan) 6.) Mohad (MP) 7.) Hosahalika (Karnataka) There:

But in India, Govtthe government didn't promote this wonderful languagelanguage; that's the reason why it comes to end in most of the states.
