[17:00:27] <akseli> jaheikki3: pong
[17:02:21] <jaheikki3> time to start qt release team meeting
[17:02:32] <jaheikki3> on agenda today:
[17:02:39] <jaheikki3> Qt 6.10 status
[17:02:49] <thiago> jaheikki3: pong
[17:02:50] <jaheikki3> Any additional item to the agenda?
[17:04:44] <jaheikki3> Ok, let's browse through Qt 6.10 status
[17:04:58] <jaheikki3> Beta1 is released, see https://www.qt.io/blog/qt-6.10-beta-1-released
[17:05:07] <jaheikki3> The target is to publish beta2 ~mid June 2025
[17:05:26] <jaheikki3> API change review is started, see https://bugreports.qt.io/browse/QTBUG-137478
[17:05:47] <jaheikki3> Updating 3rd party components for Qt 6.10 is also ongoing, see https://bugreports.qt.io/browse/QTBUG-137780
[17:06:11] <thiago> let's see if I can do TinyCBOR this time
[17:06:46] <jaheikki3> And if I checked correctly, there is one new feature freeze exception requests
[17:06:57] <jaheikki3> Qt Quick for Android API (https://codereview.qt-project.org/c/qt/qtdeclarative/+/644210)
[17:07:21] <jaheikki3> Any opinions for that?
[17:08:37] <vohi[M]> the request for that also mentioned https://codereview.qt-project.org/c/qt/qtbase/+/644138, which is merged into dev by now, but not into 6.10...
[17:10:31] <carewolf_work> We are working on updateing chromium, hopefully for beta 2
[17:10:51] <vohi[M]> With the argument that this would would have made it in by feature freeze if it didn't have to wait of the qtdeclarative change, which was approved a week ago, but still not merged. SO I'm not entirely following the logic here (qtbase change waiting for qtdeclarative makes little sense).
[17:10:51] <vohi[M]> But since the change adding the real feature wasn't merged into dev after approval, there seems to be little urgency, so I think we can live with that being in 6.11.
[17:11:33] <jaheikki3> vohi[M]: I agree
[17:11:58] <jaheikki3> So let's postponed this one for Qt 6.11
[17:12:27] <carewolf_work> "The target is to publish beta2 ~mid June 2025" isnt that now?
[17:13:01] <jaheikki3> carewolf_work: Sorry, of course the target for beta2 is mid July
[17:13:02] <carewolf_work> so mid-july?
[17:13:05] <carewolf_work> great :)
[17:13:22] <carewolf_work> was starting to feel stressed :D
[17:13:30] <jaheikki3> Heh, sorry and thanks :D
[17:14:45] <jaheikki3> ok, it was all at this time so let's end this meeting now & have next one Tue 5th August at this same time (I am starting my summer holiday this Thu)
[17:15:00] <carewolf_work> enjoy your holidays
[17:15:19] <jaheikki3> thanks for your participation, bye!
[17:15:31] <vohi[M]> thanks, bye!
