Guillotine is a hard clipper and saturation plugin that balances precision and chaos. It offers seven distinct saturation modes, each visible in real time through the built-in oscilloscope and adjustable with delta monitoring. Oversampling works up to 32× with the option of linear-phase or minimum-phase filtering, and you can select between natural peak overshoots or a true peak-safe clipping stage.
Guillotine was designed for clean, precise transient clipping on drums or a mix bus, but it can just as easily add weight and energy to any dynamic material. For a more aggressive sound, try one of the nonlinear modes like Knee or T2 and push the input gain.
Inspired by the "Guillotine Blueprint" shirt design by Amanda Duvail, Guillotine is the first release from Dichotic Studios, available now free for macOS, Windows, and Linux.
