Nov 18, 2020 at 19:20 comment added prosody-Gabe Vereable Context @Trilarion The timeline is altered and does not show any indication. You asked "If for example comments get deleted, will the timeline be updated or altered completely?", and the answer is that any evidence of comments is gone from the timeline. :( Does not quite work like a full timeline would.

Jan 16, 2020 at 19:41 comment added V2Blast StaffMod Thanks to both you and Shog for the work on this feature and getting it out! :)
Jan 16, 2020 at 19:03 comment added John Omielan @YaakovEllis Thanks to Shog9 (Josh Heyer) for doing the coding. Also, thanks to you and everybody else involved for adding this feature. I've previously used the timeline several times, but it's inconvenient to specify it manually, so I haven't used too much. I'm confident I'll quite often use, and enjoy having, this new feature now that it's so simple & convenient to use.

Jan 16, 2020 at 17:46 comment added Makyen @Jax I agree that it's an unexpected placement for the button/link. It makes some sense for moderators, given what we can now see of where the mod-interface places additional post-interaction buttons. However, from a normal user's POV, all of the post-interaction buttons which are not voting/score/favorite/acceptance are located in the area below the post inline with the attribution for most recent editor and author (i.e. the "share", "edit", "flag", "close", and "delete" buttons). Having a link/button in a new place feels strange.
Jan 16, 2020 at 17:42 comment added Cody Gray "Delete votes are now visible to moderators" Where would you like your care package sent? This is fantastic; thanks Yaakov!
Jan 16, 2020 at 16:41 comment added Jax I appreciate this, but I find the placement a bit more distracting than helpful. I'm sure my brain will tune it out eventually, but I would have preferred it in a less visually obtrusive place rather than right up next to the vote buttons (especially given that most people can't also see the other similar links in your screenshot, like flags, so it becomes the only icon in that space in most cases)
Jan 16, 2020 at 15:54 comment added Makyen Thanks for doing this. BTW: you might want to edit your image of the button. I expect that many non-moderators will find it a bit confusing to see the additional mod-interface icons. It should be relatively easy to just paint out those icons with the background color.

Jan 16, 2020 at 13:02 comment added Larnu So sad that the work that Shog9 did is realised after they are fired; meaning they never get to fully benefit from it in the role they worked in. Thank you Shog, but a kicker too. :(
