I recognize that the Code of Conduct aims to be the law of the land here on the network, but I feel that it's a bit too long to be seriously read by users. I'm not against having a long and specific Code of Conduct to leave out any ambiguity, but can we have a short version too? Perhaps something like a tl;dr box at the top or a separate page like each site's /tour.

I see two benefits to doing this:

  • Reducing fancy words and the law-like-ness of the CoC in a summary would make it easier for non-native English speakers to understand.
  • More users would be willing to read a shortened version.

Edit: Apparently the proposed CoC already has a summary, but it isn't clearly a distinguished as summary. I propose a border or colored background to distinguish.
