54Yeah nobody would go around creating profiles at various sites unless they were actively looking for jobs. So this will rule out a whole lot of candidates, namely those who aren't actively looking, but may be interested in job offers still. Missing the whole point of SO integration indeed.Lundin– Lundin2024-04-30 09:16:34 +00:00Commented Apr 30, 2024 at 9:16

16This is useful feedback about what made the prior version of SO Jobs valuable to users, and which aspects of that would be meaningful to incorporate into this new approach. Our first task during this phase is validating the potential in this experiment (based on the questions I listed in the “What's being tested” section). So while this initial test will not include an integration with users’ existing SO profiles, this is something we are open to working into future iterations of the feature.Sasha– Sasha StaffMod2024-05-01 16:11:46 +00:00Commented May 1, 2024 at 16:11

1@perigon no, they will not be included because they are hosted on a separate domain.Sasha– Sasha StaffMod2024-05-20 16:25:31 +00:00Commented May 20, 2024 at 16:25

1"will not include an integration with users’ existing SO profiles" And therefore... Just use the Indeed app. Integration with SO profiles should have been the #1 consideration when considering this partnership. IMOsilencedogood– silencedogood2024-06-06 15:04:57 +00:00Commented Jun 6, 2024 at 15:04

How to Tag
A tag is a keyword or label that categorizes your question with other, similar questions. Choose one or more (up to 5) tags that will help answerers to find and interpret your question.
- complete the sentence: my question is about...
- use tags that describe things or concepts that are essential, not incidental to your question
- favor using existing popular tags
- read the descriptions that appear below the tag
If your question is primarily about a topic for which you can't find a tag:
- combine multiple words into single-words with hyphens (e.g. stack-overflow), up to a maximum of 35 characters
- creating new tags is a privilege; if you can't yet create a tag you need, then post this question without it, then ask the community to create it for you
