I am currently leading marketing at Stack Overflow.
I've been an avid Stack Overflow and Stack Exchange reader since its beginning, primarily benefitting from the knowledge of the community as I explore various hobbies. These include computer hardware, software, operating systems, networking, gaming, and more.
For some perspective: My first computer was a Texas Instruments TI-99/4A - a computer my parents gave me when I was in elementary school to learn the basics. I was "online" on BBSs, IRC and Gopher for years before the "Web." I learned basic programming concepts through Turbo Pascal. I learned how to use Linux by compiling a custom kernel in Slackware with one of those thousand-page books. I may have been the only person in the world to have purchased a Sony MiniDisc player.
