What is this old Pre-1982 Russian movie? where the protagonist awakens from a dream to a black cat and themes related to the dead

The year isI'm trying to identify a Russian movie from definitely before 1982. that I watched it on TV in Brazil. What I remember is that the whole movie ends up being a dream, which surprises you at the end when the protagonist wakes up. when

When he wakes up, there is a (black?) cat, and something in my memory tells me the movie had something to do with the dead, because at the end, my father said "yeah , "Yeah... the dead are dead"dead." I must have watched it after 1973, I think, but these years might not say much, because the movie is Russian and I watched it on TV in Brazil. It might have something sci-fi related.
