"Nine" is indeed "about eight," but I don't understand the reason for this lack of precision.phoog– phoog2024-09-18 07:14:01 +00:00Commented Sep 18, 2024 at 7:14

1The score specifies nine players for the chamber orchestra, but the question says "a chamber orchestra of about eight people." It's a bit puzzling.phoog– phoog2024-09-18 08:57:17 +00:00Commented Sep 18, 2024 at 8:57

2@phoog: Presumably the OP has seen a video of the performance - in which it may not that easy to tell precisely how many people are playing in a given group - but not the score?psmears– psmears2024-09-18 10:13:35 +00:00Commented Sep 18, 2024 at 10:13

@psmears that seems right. I looked at the linked video a bit more closely, and the camera angle showing the entire chamber ensemble is such that both cellists are aligned with the bassist; it often looks as though there is only one cellist. Thanks for clearing that up.phoog– phoog2024-09-18 10:32:13 +00:00Commented Sep 18, 2024 at 10:32

How to Tag
A tag is a keyword or label that categorizes your question with other, similar questions. Choose one or more (up to 5) tags that will help answerers to find and interpret your question.
- complete the sentence: my question is about...
- use tags that describe things or concepts that are essential, not incidental to your question
- favor using existing popular tags
- read the descriptions that appear below the tag
If your question is primarily about a topic for which you can't find a tag:
- combine multiple words into single-words with hyphens (e.g. electric-guitar), up to a maximum of 35 characters
- creating new tags is a privilege; if you can't yet create a tag you need, then post this question without it, then ask the community to create it for you
