I’m so glad that you’re here. I’m Dan Denton, a former union autoworker and UAW chief steward. I worked at the Toledo Jeep Complex. I’m bipolar and have ADHD and C-PTSD. I’m in therapy, and I’m 20 years California sober. My poetry has won awards, my short stories have been nominated for awards, and my novels have been praised and published in multiple countries. My writing has often appeared in Toledo Streets Newspaper, a paper that benefits the area’s homeless - no questions asked. They’re my favorite non-profit. In 2024 I was voted the best writer in Toledo, and that’s the biggest honor of my life to date. In addition to writing, I’m an actor currently working on my second movie role, and I’m an amateur documentary filmmaker working on my first full-length project. And I have a new novel coming out in November! I’m re-starting this Patreon page, because I’m a struggling artist that’s in an 18-month long process of fighting to get disability benefits. All the support here goes to help me get by in life, while I continue to do the artist work and writing that I am able to.
