⚡ Efacec strengthens its partnership with Réseau de Transport d'Électricité through a strategic contract for digital substation automation. Phase 2 of the R#SPACE project is now underway with RTE, the French transmission system operator - a new milestone following the successful pilot phase that enabled the first smart digital substation in Ploeren. Under this contract, Efacec will deliver and qualify BCU and PIU smart electronic devices, supporting RTE’s transition towards a more digital, resilient and sustainable grid 🌐. 🚋 Powering one of Porto’s most iconic transport symbols   The Campo de Mártires da Pátria Traction Substation - supplying part of Porto’s historic electric tram network - has re-entered service following a full refurbishment carried out by Efacec. This 850 kVA, 15 kV substation, equipped with a 700 kW traction group (600 V, 2000 A), now benefits from upgraded traction energy infrastructure, renewed civil works and the installation of a Remote Terminal Unit cabinet for future remote control, as well as ventilation, pumping and fire detection systems. ⚡ Efacec strengthens EV charging infrastructure New QC120 fast chargers (up to 120 kW) are now available at Intermarché locations in Urgezes (Guimarães) and Fafe, supporting faster and more efficient EV charging through the built-in Active Boost Mode, which automatically optimises performance and reduces charging time 🔋. Developed entirely in-house, the solution supports charging of up to three vehicles simultaneously, integrates AFIR-compliant payment terminals, and works with our Load Management System (LMS) for smarter energy use ⚙️💳.
