1\$\begingroup\$ But both features clearly state that you ignore "class" requirements, and that could be taken as ignoring "Warlock" in the text of the item. It's similar to how one may (or may not) be able to benefit from a Holy Avenger's 30-foot aura. Are you implying that an Artificer or Thief Rogue could never benefit from the 30-foot aura? \$\endgroup\$user53884– user538842020-01-19 13:13:49 +00:00Commented Jan 19, 2020 at 13:13

\$\begingroup\$ I agree with this answer, and also with the addendum: they wouldn't benefit from the 30ft aura from a Holy Avenger \$\endgroup\$BlueMoon93– BlueMoon932020-01-20 15:34:49 +00:00Commented Jan 20, 2020 at 15:34

\$\begingroup\$ Since you don't think they can benefit from either, do you think an Artificer or Thief Rogue be able to use a Wheel of Wind and Water? \$\endgroup\$user53884– user538842020-01-21 12:35:36 +00:00Commented Jan 21, 2020 at 12:35

\$\begingroup\$ Technically it is possible (via feat) to have access to warlock spells without any warlock class levels. I believe in that case, the thief rogue or artificer would be able to use a Rod of the Pact Keeper to buff their feat-derived warlock spells, while, say, a rogue with that feat would not. \$\endgroup\$Ben Barden– Ben Barden2020-05-07 18:11:30 +00:00Commented May 7, 2020 at 18:11

How to Tag
A tag is a keyword or label that categorizes your question with other, similar questions. Choose one or more (up to 5) tags that will help answerers to find and interpret your question.
- Make sure you include the system tag for the game system you are asking about (if appropriate and if the tag exists).
- complete the sentence: my question is about...
- use tags that describe things or concepts that are essential, not incidental to your question
- favor using existing popular tags
- read the descriptions that appear below the tag
If your question is primarily about a topic for which you can't find a tag:
- combine multiple words into single-words with hyphens (e.g. dnd-5e-2014), up to a maximum of 35 characters
- creating new tags is a privilege; if you can't yet create a tag you need, then post this question without it, then ask the community to create it for you
