\$\begingroup\$ Also, there are many spells and abilities from the recent psionics UA that require Int saves. Not a current reason, but an eventual one. \$\endgroup\$

\$\begingroup\$ My DM also asks for Int saves when characters are about to do something stupid - if they pass, he reminds them that, e.g. 8 sessions back, so and so said that the red gem goes OPPOSITE the blue gem, NOT adjacent! - so YMMV if your DM works similarly \$\endgroup\$
