Mar 10, 2021 at 15:02 comment added Thomas Markov @KRyan I'm sure this isn't the on I'm thinking of, but your answer here was a good one: Abuse: Is it fair if it's in-game?
Mar 10, 2021 at 14:58 comment added KRyan @ThomasMarkov Heh, I think everyone who has been around here long enough has written an answer quite similar to this one—it is simply the answer to this sort of question, which comes up a lot. Not in a duplicative way—every situation is different—but answers do end up sounding pretty similar. That said, I rather like this formulation. Almost-certainly more concise than any of mine :P
Mar 10, 2021 at 14:56 comment added Thomas Markov @KRyan I feel like I have read a very similar answer of yours before. Maybe multiple times.
Mar 10, 2021 at 14:52 comment added Thomas Markov @KRyan Fair, though obviously sitting down to play one such game is at least implied consent, in some sense.
Mar 10, 2021 at 14:51 comment added KRyan Absolutely agreed, +1, but on “nobody should assume the table is okay with PVP,” that depends on the system. Some systems include PvP as a default, which would make it reasonable to assume that the people who sat down to play that game are okay with it if they haven’t said otherwise.

Mar 10, 2021 at 9:49 comment added Thomas Markov @Tompke personally, I’d tell them that’s not good enough. They need to stop attacking teammates entirely.
Mar 10, 2021 at 9:47 comment added Tompke Thank you for advising this, i did tell my friend and he said he'd calm down, and make his character take a little more before attacking teammates
Mar 9, 2021 at 23:44 comment added Mooing Duck Important note: If they want to take a swing at you, maybe that's fine, but the DM shouldn't allow him to damage you until everyone is on the same page.
