It’s Simple: Things are shiny.

New hobbies and crafts are SHINY. Pretty little twinkles of what could be if I was “successful” at them. I would be unstoppable if I could really “do it all.” I feel the need to attempt this while still maintaining sanity, relationships, my job, physical/mental health, and overall enjoyment of life. And you guessed it: that’s almost impossible, but here we are. The grindset is a real monster my friends. I’m Gabbie, and this is Sanguine Script, the musings and ramblings (with occasional book reviews) of someone trying to balance what she can.

Why this, why now

Every emerging author needs a website, right? Enter: Substack. This is your one stop shop if you want to get to know me outside of Instagram and get updates on cool stuff I buy, methods I try out, and overall things I just have a passion for.

What this space is

If I truly wanted to ramble, I would just write in a journal. But I want to create a community of book lovers, writers, and lovers of all things spooky. A place where tips and tricks aren’t gatekept, and being passionate about the craft is the norm.

I won’t bombard you

At this point, one post a month is all I’ve got folks. And maybe the occasional book review if I feel so inclined. I will be engaging in comments and hope to start some meaningful discussions.
