Sceince Science fiction comedy action movie with laughing skeleton ghosts

This is what I remember from seeing the movie likeabout 20 years ago:

The protagonist slashes one of the skeleton's neck with his sword, the skull of the skeleton falls off to its own hands still laughing goofily and bouncing, and the protagonist then hits the skull away.
