  • not always, if there is an error box that "pops under" you will see that. and if you know the window you were in you select it in the task manager and then "switch to" Commented Jan 17, 2014 at 23:06

    Technically, [Windows]-M is "Minimize All". [Windows]-D is "Show Desktop". Of course, they typically serve a similar function (except in this case, from my experience. Commented Jan 18, 2014 at 17:41
