So many well meaning forums are simply using this as a soap box opportunity. Folks don't we all have better things to do. Like I said, write a 10 line macro, debug it and get on with it. Takes a lot less time than the soap box podium. Adobe can't/won't fix the problem because it's a Windows 32 / 64 design problem. The new MS CEO will take your call in year 2098 AD. DUH!
