As for "not used anymore", the shiny new digital version of Kurs is still used regularly at the ISS. Of course my motivation for this is basically 'Hey Engineers, why aren't you using [fancy new stuff] because driverless cars!' (yes, driverless cars are much further off than everyone thinks, but space docking just seemed much more controllable situation ... <UNBRIDLED_ENTHUSIASM>put QR-code-like things everywhere and sensors everywhere and do it better than manual!</UNBRIDLED_ENTHUSIASM>). | |
