| Oct 19, 2018 at 17:27 | comment | added | toonarmycaptain | My understanding is that 'Pilot' indicated more than controlling the dynamic movements of each craft, but included responsibilities more akin to a flight engineer on larger aircraft - being responsible for knowing and upkeeping all of their respective craft's (LM/CM's) systems. The Commander's responsibility was focused more on the whole mission and the critical landing portion of the mission. | |
