    followup question: is it also possible to open the cmd as administrator? entering cmd then CTRL-SHIFT-ENTER doesn't seem to work. Commented Jul 29, 2015 at 12:24

    @DavidPostill, How about enabling "run this program as an administrator" for c:\windows\system32\cmd.exe ? I could confirm it but I don't want to try this on my work computer right now :D Commented Jul 29, 2015 at 12:52
