Culver's Corn Dogs Are Extra Flavorful When You Add These 2 Toppings

Culver's might be best-known for its Butterburger, but its menu is chock-full of other sandwiches, sides, and drinks worth trying, such as the Concrete Mixers, which are among the best ice cream desserts from fast food chains. But among the lesser-known menu items at Culver's is the corn dog. Corn dogs are rare offerings on the fast food menus, but Culver's does the snack justice. However, if you're a chili cheese dog fan, you might consider ordering two extra toppings alongside your corn dog for an extra flavorful upgrade.

If you've never had one, a classic chili cheese dog is exactly what it sounds like: A hot dog served with warm chili and melty cheese. It's the perfect way to turn a summer classic into a cozy fall comfort food, and the flavor combo is only elevated when you factor in the cornbread crust of the corn dog. To order yourself a chili cheese corn dog at Culver's, simply order a side of Wisconsin cheese sauce and a cup of George's Chili. Then, use both sides as a dip.

Alternatively, if you're looking for something more akin to a traditional chili cheese dog, you could always cut the corn dog in half. Doing so from the top end to the bottom end will create a bun of sorts, making it easier to keep the toppings in place. Either way, once you start ordering your Culver's corn dogs with a chili cheese twist, we have a feeling you won't want to order them plain again.

More chili cheese ordering combos at Culver's

There are plenty of ways to make the most out of Culver's chili, which opens up a world of possibilities for customers with a little imagination. The chain already offers Chili Cheddar Fries, but since you can order both Wisconsin cheese sauce and George's chili à la carte, you can turn virtually any menu item into a chili cheese-flavored one. (We wouldn't recommend a chili cheese Concrete Mixer, however.)

Another Culver's classic is the side of cheese curds, which is also made better with this chili cheese combo. These are another Wisconsin staple, and combining them with chili does wonders here just as it does with corn dogs. The combo is already chili cheese-inspired, but you could go the extra mile and add some Wisconsin cheese sauce on top for an even richer cheese flavor.

In addition to the cheese curds, consider turning your plain cheese Butterburger into a chili cheese Butterburger. A chili cheese hamburger is an inherently messy meal, but if you're already committed to the flavor combo, don't hesitate to give it a try. The Butterburger Cheese already comes with a slice of American cheese, so all you need is a bit of George's Chili. Not only will this give it some additional texture, but it'll add a subtle spice and hint of sweetness — and when it comes to a fast food burger, what more could you ask for?
