A gift subscription is a non-renewing subscription paid for by one person (the gift-giver) to be used by someone else (the recipient), which gives the recipient access to Newspapers.com's records and services for a period of time.

No. If a recipient wants to continue their Newspapers.com subscription after the gift subscription expires, they can sign up and pay for a regular, automatically-renewing subscription through the Newspapers.com website.

Only if it hasn't yet been redeemed by the original recipient. To transfer your gift subscription to another recipient, just contact Member Services and we will transfer the gift subscription and redemption code to someone else.

On the start date you've selected, we will notify the recipient of your gift via email, telling them how to redeem the gift subscription. Before the start date, you are welcome to notify the recipient that an email will arrive with their redemption code and that their subscription starts when it arrives.
