So I just woke up and apparently I inadvertently discovered a zero-day RCE in acme.sh, and caused a Chinese CA to shut down overnight. Props to the @neilpangxa of acme.sh for the quick fix! github.com/acmesh-officia…

All the replies are wrong. It's not for bots or added security. The answer is quite mundane: multiple identity providers. Particularly applicable for corporate users.

I still can't get over how complicated, inefficient, and unpredictable we have made computers. - 36 char sentence to run ping - Multiple HTTPS reqs to bigcorp cloud - Models consume many GPUs and GB of memory - Latency degraded 1000x - All to use computers that are bad at math
