Spectral Classification with Exceedingly Low Dispersion.
Abstract
A method is described for the segregation of reddened 0 and B stars from objective-prism plates having a dispersion of the order of 30,000 A/mm. The instrument used is a Schmidt camera of S inches focal length and an effective aperture of 2 inches, in conjunction with an objective prism of 1 angle. A finding list of 19 stars in the Cygni region is given; the majority of these stars are probably of early type and are between photographic magnitudes 12.0 and 13.0.
