This week we're welcoming Amy Brereton-Stuart to the team. She's joining our robotics and autonomy division, heading into our Hardware function - the third hire we've made into that discipline in the last six months. It's been one of the busiest areas within the business this year, as more robotics companies move from prototype to production and need people who can get hardware operating in the field. Amy's coming in with a good grounding in the market already. She's supported hiring in this area for teams at some of the most interesting robotics firms out there, so knows the kind of engineers who tend to do well in that jump from the bench to real-world environments. She'll be working with firms across the States, supporting the build out of their mechatronics, systems and controls teams as they scale. Great to have you with us, Amy! #teamcubiq

We describe ourselves constantly as being embedded in the industries we serve, and the last four months are a textbook example of how we enable our teams to live this. This summer alone the team has been out across: 🇬🇧 The UK 🇪🇸 Barcelona 🇨🇭 Zurich 🇩🇪 Munich 🇦🇹 Vienna 🇫🇷 Paris 🇺🇸 Boston 🇺🇸 Chicago 🇺🇸 San Francisco 🇺🇸 Palo Alto We don't believe we could do half as good a job for our clients and candidates if we didn't invest, and keep re-investing, in getting directly in front of the people we need to build relationships with. Knowing what a hardware team in Munich is struggling to hire for, or what a researcher in Palo Alto would actually move for, happens most effectively when you're in the room and having the conversation. It's also a big part of why people join us. If you'd like to be somewhere that operates this way, we're hiring across Robotics, AI, ERP and Delivery at every level, including entry-level, and all the current roles are here: 🔗 https://lnkd.in/e3xEAaRA A few photos from our events season below.

Should engineers use AI in coding interviews? What do you offer when money isn't a core motivator? How do you get passive talent to engage? When do you need to hire leaders above your team? These were a few of the topics that came up at our first AI Talent Leadership Dinner last week, when we hosted sixteen TA leaders from across the UK's frontier AI labs and AI-native companies. We've written up some of the insights here: 🔗 https://lnkd.in/eW7Z2r7g #talentacquisition #AI #hiring

Last week the team hosted our inaugural AI Talent Leaders Dinner at KOL in Marylebone. A group of TA experts who spend their working lives hiring into AI, operating within labs and AI-native firms, came together for drinks and dinner at the Michelin-starred chef's table experience. Plans for this came about a couple of months back the team noticed a pattern in how they were being introduced to people in this space. Word of mouth, mostly, people passing contacts on, former colleagues who'd stayed in touch after moving to different companies, or people they'd met in the field in other ways. There was a real web of connections running through the UK AI talent space. We thought it seemed worth bringing some of that group around one table, alongside a few people new to us too. It was also a chance to put together a room that wasn't the usual mix of founders and hands-on builders you get at a lot of AI-focused networking events. Matt McKenna, Kiera Johnson, Jamie Egersdorff and Jacob Stafford-Wright were hosting from our side - the evening gave some great insight into everyone's priorities, approaches and pain points, and early feedback has been brilliant. Plans for the next one had already started on the train back up north. So if you hire into AI and want to be part of it, the sign up link is in the comments. #talentacquisition #ai

This year we didn't expect to scale as much as we have, but demand has naturally meant we've needed to bring in some brilliant people - and over the last few months that's exactly what we've done, across all levels. Nobody set an aggressive headcount growth target as we came into 2026. The demand for what we do in AI, robotics, ERP and deep tech grew pretty organically across every desk, and we've spent this year hiring across all areas in order to keep delivering to the standard we set ourselves. We're continuing to hire, and have opportunities for: 💼 Team Lead, EU Robotics - reporting into Matt McKenna 💼 Senior Consultant, Robotics Software (US) - on Joshua Fairhurst's team 💼 Senior Consultant, AI Software (UK) - working with Kiera Johnson 💼 and 180 Consultants, US AI/Robotics and EU Engineering - to grow Hannah Mason's delivery team Whichever team you join here you'll be working with names you'll refer to your entire career, on real case study requirements, and supporting candidates who represent the global standard in tech talent. We'll invest in getting you proper face time with the firms you're working with, funded conference attendance worldwide, and a brand behind you that carries real weight in the market you're building out. If you're a recruiter working in these fields already, or simply want to be, get in touch. This week Cubiq Robotics & Autonomy welcomed a new face in Lloyd Hayes, and we couldn't be happier to have him on board. He's taking the reigns on robotics hardware in the UK, bringing with him close to five years of recruitment experience across UK and European geographies. With Lloyd on board, and alongside Joshua Fairhurst and Joanna Mainprice, our robotics hardware offering now spans US, European and UK hubs. And it's come at a brilliant time too - this side of the business has had a standout couple of quarters on both sides of the pond, so we're expanding the team right as things are picking up pace. A massive welcome to you, Lloyd - excited to see what you'll bring to our robotics division. #teamcubiq

Mark, Hannah and Joanna are out in Munich this week visiting some of the folks we're supporting out there - including a stop at a stealth humanoid firm we've been working with on their ambitious build-out over the last few months. It's the first time we've visited the team in person following the placement of a dozen engineers across mechanical, electrical and software - we're thrilled to be on-site watching the robots in action. If you're in Munich and would like to catch the Cubiq team whilst they're out there, drop them a request or reach out to us directly. ✉️ enquiries@cubiqrecruitment.com #munich #robotics

Next week Kiera Johnson and Jamie Egersdorff are hosting dinner for 16 talent leaders operating within some of the most prominent AI companies in the country. We're bringing together those leading talent strategy at a mixture of frontier labs, AI infrastructure firms and AI-native product companies. A lot of these teams are hiring for similar profiles, working towards similar goals and running into similar challenges. But outside the conference circuit there aren't many settings where that group sits down to discuss what's working, so we're thrilled to be hosting the conversation. This event is full, but we've opened a waitlist that also doubles as the sign-up to hear about our next one. If you're involved in talent strategy at a scaling AI firm and want to be kept in the loop for future events, we'll drop the link in the comments. #talentacquisition

We've made a string of excellent new hires into our AI team this year, and we're hiring again for a senior consultant to join on the software side for the UK market. The reputation we've built in the UK AI space over the last few years represents the kind of growth most agencies would hold up as the gold standard. Word-of-mouth referrals on the back of great project delivery, people bringing us with them a their agency partner when they move companies, and employers trusting the team based solely on projects they've heard we've been part of. That type of thing is difficult to replicate, and it's taken time and an incredible amount of effort to get here. You'll join as our third dedicated AI software consultant for the UK market, step straight into relationships with the top labs in the field, and work on hiring projects you'll refer to your whole recruitment career. And you'll be learning from Kiera Johnson who's covered this space for the last three years, who's developed the team significantly in that time. We'll link the full job in the comments - drop Kiera a note to find out more, or apply directly. #teamcubiq

On Friday we had big plans to head to Peel Park for our annual sports day - plans that were foiled by the downpour experienced by most of the North West as we approached the bank holiday. We had to get creative and do a switch-up to an Office Olympics, one that we think went down about as well considering the damp circumstances. It might not beat rounders in the sunshine, but 'the floor is lava' with a bunch of kids party plates and blind-building lego robots from partner descriptions is still pretty fun. We reckon so anyway. Congrats to our green team - Edward, Daniel, Joshua, Joanna and Mark - who were fairly confident from the moment teams were picked, and proved themselves right by winning gold on the day. #sportsday
