Last week, I joined Tom Keene and Jonathan Ferro on Bloomberg Radio Surveillance and Katie Greifeld and Bailey Lipschultz on Bloomberg Television's The Close, to discuss the current state of private credit and middle-market direct lending, our outlook for the second half of the year and where PGIM sees the most compelling lending opportunities, and our perspective on industry topics around product suitability, liquidity and the importance of disciplined underwriting. We remain constructive on the lending environment and see the continued adoption of direct lending financing among non-sponsored companies as one of the most compelling long-term trends in the true middle market. As more founder-led and family-owned businesses seek flexible, long-term capital and a partner in their growth journey, we see an expanding opportunity set across sectors that power the real economy, from food and beverage and consumer staples to a broad range of essential businesses. Thanks to Bloomberg for having me, and to the hosts for a great conversation. Watch the full Bloomberg TV segment here (beginning at 25:21): https://bit.ly/4bjyE2n

PAAA has established itself as a standout in the AAA CLO ETF space, earning the distinction of being the only gold-rated CLO ETF in the category while also offering investors a low expense ratio among AAA CLO ETFs. Three years in. Still setting the standard. https://on.pru/4h1T4Re

Today, PGIM announced it has agreed to acquire the remaining interest in Deerpath Capital. The acquisition is expected to strengthen PGIM's comprehensive direct lending platform by combining Deerpath Capital's lower middle market expertise with PGIM's existing core middle market and large cap capabilities. Full ownership is expected to enhance sponsor coverage and coordination while supporting more tailored direct lending solutions across borrower size segments and cohesive investor distribution and client service. We're excited for the next chapter with the Deerpath Capital team and look forward to serving sponsors, borrowers and investors across the direct lending spectrum together.
