What does a great charity partnership process look like when you design it around charities, not corporates? I'm happy to share an article about Deloitte's local charity partnership programme that I've managed over the past 18 months, which is featured in this year's Deloitte Yearbook. Working with Pilotlight, we took a different approach to selecting our latest cohort of local charity partners, recognising that many charities are already stretched for time and resources. The process combined Pilotlight's deep knowledge of grassroots charities with local engagement from our people, who voted for the charities they wanted to support in their communities. Once partnerships were selected, the focus immediately shifted from selection to impact, bringing Deloitte volunteers together to help charities tackle operational challenges such as income generation, marketing and efficiency. The result was more than 480 volunteers contributing over 3,100 hours of support, with charities receiving practical solutions designed to strengthen their resilience and help them deliver more for the people they serve.
