September has been busy for Seedcamp, to say the least 🏃 Here's what's happened across the portfolio: ▸ Penelope Health closed a $100M commitment from Thoreau, with participation from BHI - Bertelsmann Healthcare Investments and Twine Ventures. We've been with Sohum and Mattijs since the beginning, and they even spent their early days as residents at Seedcamp HQ. ▸ Metaview raised a $60M Series C. Shahriar and Siadhal are building the future of agentic recruiting, and we're proud to have supported them in every round since day one. ▸ Flow Engineering raised a $50M Series B. We've backed Pari for almost a decade, and we're thrilled to see them drive forward Physical AI. ▸ Rayon.design raised a €10M Series A to build AI tools for interior design. We led their pre-seed in 2022, and we've backed Bastien and Stanislas all the way. ▸ Opio raised €4M to automate financial due diligence. Tristan and Olivier have already seen an incredible response from the market, with Forvis Mazars Group and BDO as early clients. ▸ Revolut won conditional approval from the OCC for a US national bank charter. It's a major step towards launching as a standalone US bank in 2027. We first backed Revolut over a decade ago, and it's been incredible to watch them earn trust market by market. ▸ Synthesia launched Sessions: scalable, two-way conversations with lifelike AI avatars that let people practice critical conversations, gather deeper insight, and get expert guidance on demand. ▸ Arcjet launched agent runtime security. It tracks what AI agents do once they're running in production. Security teams can see which agents are active, and every action can be checked against policy before it goes through. ▸ Memories.ai welcomed former Qualcomm Chief Commercial Officer Jim Cathey as an advisor. ▸ 9fin launched their first film, documenting their journey from frustrated financial workers to building next-gen AI tools for credit. Proud to be day one supporters of Steven and Huss! Here's to an exciting Q4! 🌱❤️ cc Reshma Sohoni Carlos Eduardo Espinal MBE Tom Wilson Sia Houchangnia Felix Martinez Will Bennett Antonia Whitecourt Hilary Howe Andy Wang

  • At Seedcamp, we have long believed that hardware is the next AI frontier. Today, Flow Engineering announces a $50M Series B at a $750M valuation. We've backed Pari Singh for almost a decade. He walked into Seedcamp HQ aged 21 in a NASA t-shirt and told us he could design rockets faster than anyone in the world. We're proud to continue backing Flow. While software engineering has been completely transformed by AI, hardware hasn't caught up. It's still fragmented, laborious and expensive. When a design tweak is made, teams still have to verify millions of requirements and constraints. Most still do this by hand, across spreadsheets, CAD files and legacy tools. Flow is building to change this. Its AI agents track changes, propagate updates across teams and verify results in seconds. It's capable of cutting iteration cycles from months to days. Since their Series A last October, Flow has added General Motors PPU, RV Technologies, Anduril Industries, Stoke Space, Intuitive Machines and Pacific Fusion as customers. They join Rivian, Joby Aviation, Astranis Space Technologies and Radiant Industries. Remarkably, 96% of their customers came inbound — a testament to just how crucial this technology is. Pari Singh: "The engineer's role will change more profoundly than at any point since the invention of CAD, with humans focusing on invention, architecture, tradeoffs and judgement calls, and agents taking the grunt work." We're thrilled to back Metaview as they raise their $60M Series C. This round, led by Insight Partners, takes their total funding to $110M. We're proud to have been there since day one, and to continue to support them through our Select fund. Siadhal Magos and Shahriar Tajbakhsh have spent eight years obsessing over hiring. As ambitious operators at Palantir Technologies and Uber, they saw first-hand how convoluted and imprecise hiring could be, even at the best companies. Metaview started life as an AI interview note-taker. When LLMs arrived, they were already sitting on years of hiring data. Now they're building fillmore, a full-stack agentic recruiting platform. Its AI agents source, screen and interview candidates alongside hiring teams. More than 7,000 companies rely on Metaview today, including Airwallex and Replit. Hilary Howe, Partner at Seedcamp: "Siadhal and Shahriar saw early that hiring conversations were the most valuable and most wasted data, and they executed relentlessly on that insight. We've backed the team in every round since their 2018 pre-seed, and we're thrilled to do so again with our Select fund." The Series C will bring fillmore to general availability, alongside new specialist agents. It will grow the team from 80 to 250 by the end of next year, with a new New York office joining London and San Francisco. And it will help Metaview keep building 10x Recruiting, its community and training programme for talent engineering. For too long, interior designers have been stuck with clunky CAD software built for architecture and engineering. Rayon.design is changing this. We're proud to continue backing them in their €10M Series A led by Partech, alongside Northzone and Foundamental. Founded by design veterans Bastien Dolla and Stanislas Chaillou, Rayon is specifically designed for experiential and interior projects, providing a lighter, browser-based alternative to traditional CAD tools. Floor plans, mood boards and specifications all live in one drawing, while teams are able to collaborate and share plans with a link. The traction Rayon has seen from the industry has been remarkable. Virgin Atlantic uses Rayon to design airport lounges, while CityHub and Coloc Housing have slashed costs by thousands a month, using it to run feasibility studies in-house. Design studio Nolt Mathis cancelled a 15 year CAD subscription to make the switch to Rayon. Bastien Dolla, CEO and Cofounder of Rayon.design: "The most common thing we hear in a demo is surprise. People open Rayon in a browser and expect a toy web application, but they discover a performance and a feature set that are better than most legacy CAD software. Our superpower is to make professional-grade CAD software approachable." Tom Wilson, Partner at Seedcamp: "For too long, design software has been clunky, too expensive and inherently uncreative. It's been fantastic watching Rayon build software that's as creative as the people using it. We led their pre-seed back in 2022, and we're thrilled to keep backing Bastien and Stanislas as they build an AI-native drawing layer that's intuitive and genuinely creative to work in." • "You can probably be more ambitious than you think you can be, and the market will reward you for it." A customer was showing Jonathan their legacy ERP. He asked why the Wi-Fi was so bad, and was shocked to discover that it wasn't the Wi-Fi. It was the system. So Jonathan built Light, what he calls organic software for finance. It's an ERP that's sleek and intuitive to use, with an AI layer that learns from every correction and adapts as a business grows into new markets and currencies. Even the name is the point: Light is the opposite of heavy. Field Notes is a new series from Seedcamp, taking a closer look at the founders we back, the problems they're solving, and the mindset it takes to build generational companies. • Jeffrey Stewart has started five companies (one taken public, one scaled across 21 countries), and has literally written the book on IPOs - so he knows a thing or two about entrepreneurship. On this episode of This Much I Know, the Cofounder and MD of GPO Fund and author of Global IPO: The Great Rewiring of Capital Markets joins Carlos to discuss why the best founders aren't necessarily those who can raise the most. "I think the best entrepreneurs are good at fundraising, but they're also really good at managing cashflow, because you never know when that's gonna become the most critical element of the business."
