I'm new to ubuntuUbuntu. I wanted to configure the taskbar panels so I can see individual running programs as tabs onat the bottom of the screen (as in windows), and I was able to achieve that by using Dash to Panel. This seemseems to work fine, but the second step is to make a quicklaunch, basically an area on the left part of the the taskbar I can use to quickly launch new programs regardless of what is maximisedmaximized.

I'm adding a screenshot of how I have it configured on windowsWindows: enter image description here

The closest to this would be to use the "Favorites", but that has one huge problem, the icon disappears whenever I start a program. Which is messy, and also, It disallows me to start another instance. Also, the configurability of the Favorites doesn't look to be existing, I need something like the shortcut editing in windows, where I need to set the executebleexecutable, the arguments of and working directory.

So the question is, how do I achieve this in ubuntuon Ubuntu?
