Bringing together business leaders, investors, and industry representatives, 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝟐: 𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐀𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 offered participants a closer look at the innovation, sustainability, and integrated value chains driving the future of Vietnam's agribusiness sector. The journey began at Long Hau Industrial Park, where participants explored one of Southern Vietnam's most established industrial ecosystems and gained insights into the infrastructure supporting sustainable investment and export-oriented industries. Within the park, the delegation visited Aplas Vietnam, where participants learned how advanced manufacturing and recyclable packaging solutions are helping businesses embrace circular economy principles while meeting the evolving demands of global markets. The team's warm welcome and thoughtful sharing highlighted the important role packaging innovation plays in strengthening Vietnam's agricultural value chain. The tour continued at Betrimex Vietnam, a leading coconut processor and exporter, where participants discovered how sustainable farming, digital transformation, and circular production models are elevating Vietnam's coconut industry on the global stage. Through the company's close collaboration with TTC AgriS, participants also gained valuable insights into the development of a world-class organic coconut ecosystem that delivers long-term value for farmers, communities, and international markets alike. The final visit brought the delegation to Minh Phu Seafood Corporation, Vietnam's largest shrimp producer and exporter. Participants had the opportunity to explore the company's fully integrated value chain and learn how its commitment to quality, traceability, food safety, and sustainable aquaculture has established Minh Phu as one of the world's most trusted seafood suppliers. For years, shrimp has made up roughly half of #VietNam’s seafood exports, reaching dinner tables in over 100 countries. Covering more than 600,000 hectares, the sector has been a major contributor to the Mekong Delta’s and national economy — creating around 1 million jobs, sustaining rural communities, and generating up to USD 4 billion in the country’s export revenues each year since 2018. But today, the sector faces serious challenges: - Fragmented and super‑intensive production far exceeding environmental carrying capacity - Low productivity and high production costs - Frequent disease outbreaks - Impacts from weather shocks and environmental degradation - Growing global competition Minh Phu Seafood Corporation (MPC) — the country’s largest shrimp processor and exporter — is teaming up with IFC - International Finance Corporation, with support from Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade to tackle these issues head‑on and plan a major transformation. This transformation will be backed by the government’s plan to enhance public infrastructure supporting sustainable aquaculture in the Mekong Delta — improvements, supported by The World Bank.
