Self, Roger is a proud owner of a 1962 Ford F-250 4WD pick- up and a
1977 Dodge Aspen Wagon, which have its own hole in the ozone layer......
He is also a fellow companion whith Olaf
"Bob" Arthur Schjelderup in collecting and restoring old
radioes, and of course, he is a radio amateur. The exact date when
Roger made his appearance on the EHEM scene we really don't know, he's
just allways been there... It could been around 1987. But it seems clear
that when the band suddently needed a solid roadmanager, Roger was there.
He is the one who is responsible of transferring
Herold Myrland's accurate tourplans into the sloppy EHEM- ways of doing
things. Another main task is to provide the lost sheeps of the band with
food and shelter for the night. This include many odd inquiries to the
hotel clercs and resturant maitre`ds. But in most cases Roger is capable
to fix it, even if it should be an extra pillow, hamburgers and pizzas
instead of chatau-briant, or opening the hotel swimmingpool at 4 o`clock
in the morning .
Setting up the room-sharing list is a very important job for the roadmanager. Who is who's room-mate is a subject everyone in the band sticks their noses into. Everybody is afraid of being placed in the ferocious VESUV- Room. Rogers interests in old and novelty music is feared among the EHEM bunch. He often gives tastes of his big Spike Jones collection when he comes across a gramaphone player, og even worse, his secret collection of rare, old singles from the -50s and -60s. He also has introduced EHEM members to the world of german pop- music from the -50s. Roger has being seen doing some musical preformance, playing the washtub bass and singing "Tabac und Rhum" with the EHEM Cajun Band late at nights. But these rumours have not been confirmed.
