"The Borinqueneers" was the nickname given to the U.S. Army National Guard's 65th Regimental Combat Team from Puerto Rico. During service in Korea, the 65th fought valiantly, receiving numerous unit awards, four Distinguished Service Crosses and over 100 Silver Stars.
