Contract Sales Executive

Reporting to: Head of Enterprise

Area: Syndication

Main purpose of job: Selling content contracts to media clients worldwide

Duties/Responsibilities:

* Managing current portfolio of international newspaper clients

* Manage complete sales cycle from inception to completion of contracts to new clients

* Work on developing new content products and services to market to a range of traditional and new media

* Negotiate terms and fees, draw up contracts

* Work closely with sales team in generating new leads and new revenue streams

* Prepared to travel overseas to visit existing client base and sell content solutions to new clients

Skills/Experience:

* Business to business sales experience

* Syndication of content

* Strategic, overseas sales experience

* Appreciation of the value of content to business

* Newspaper experience – preferably having worked with Editorial

* 4+ years sales/account management experience

* Ideally graduate level

* Effective communicator

Advertising Account Executive

Reporting to: Group Head

Area: Classified Advertising Department

Main purpose of job: To maximise advertising revenue for an allocated product range from a specified set of clients via the telephone

Duties/Responsibilities:

* 1½ hours of calls per day

* Managing and developing existing client accounts

* Identifying potential growth areas and lead sourcing

* Generating new business

* Using research tools such as NRS and TGI to assist in achieving revenue targets

* Keeping records up to date and accurately using the Adtaker booking system

Training:

* Induction Course - including newspaper history, competitor analysis, glosssary of terms, Adtaker system

* Basic sales skills

* Objection Handling

* Negotiation

* Product training

Senior Advertising Account Manager – Agencies

Reporting to: Ad Manager

Area: Classified Advertising Department

Main purpose of job: To Maximise revenue within the Education and Recruitment categories within a set product range via face to face contact with a specified set of Advertising Agencies.

Duties/Responsibilities:

* 5 meetings per week (minimum)

* Presentation writing and delivery

* Achieving new business targets

* Attending relevant exhibitions/fairs/conferences

* Achieving revenue and yield targets

* To work in unison and ensure good lines of communication across other sales teams

* Mastering the use of research tools such as NRS and TGI to assist in achieving the above

* To update and maintain all internal administration and accounting systems

* To develop and maintain excellent Agency relationships at all levels

Skills/Experience:

* A proven face to face sales track record

* Good knowledge of the Recruitment and Education markets

* Agency sales experience

* Excellent presentation skills

* Ability to multi task
