LiveJournal.com, a web site and online community built around personal journals, was created by computer science major Brad Fitzpatrick in March 1999. » How can I help?

LiveJournal would not exist without its users. To support the site, you can purchase a Paid Account, make suggestions for improvement, and provide your input to occasional polls in [info]news or [info]feedback. There are also a number of areas in which volunteers can participate.

» How do I suggest new features or improvements for LiveJournal?

If you have an idea that you don't think has been thought of before, the proper forum for your suggestion is the Suggestions page. Before you post your idea, you should be sure that your idea hasn't been previously suggested. You can do this by reading the [info]suggestions community.

» Which journals are officially sponsored by LiveJournal?

LiveJournal staff and volunteers use many official journals and communities to:
  • improve the site and help users
  • announce important events, features, and site changes
  • improve the site's documentation and text
Some of these communities have open membership so anyone can join and post entries. Others are personal journals or have closed membership so only staff or senior volunteers can join and post entries; you may still friend or watch them to comment on public entries.
