This directory contains our first prerelease version of the Free
Encyclopedia of Mathematics (FEM), in two volumes. This version of
the FEM is derived from the PlanetMath encyclopedia as it existed
in January, 2004. Like PlanetMath, the FEM is released under the
GNU Free Documentation License (see fem-top-tex/fdl.tex for
details). Watch PlanetMath news for an announcement of our first
"real" release, expected in Spring 2005.
